Okay, I used The Raven Key, but net a standard monster and a dead end. What did I miss?
You missed the bush. If you have the Code Scroll quest, tap the big bush and talk to the raven. The hermit told you ravens like to hide in bushes. You'll need the Maggoty Meat the hermit gives you to feed the raven. If you didn't talk to the hermit, go back and talk to him. You can also buy it in inns but its chance of showing up is one in ten.
