Hi Cat!
Is this just an area for picking up items and killing some ghosts? It feels like it's going somewhere and then it kind of just ends in a candlelit hallway. I poked around for awhile last time I played this expansion, but never found anything. Is there something more here?

If you got the key from the window outside by using the mice, there is nothing in there except items and monsters.
