quick question about key

in Mithril Horde I

I defeated the monsters outside of the “fort” in search for wild fury spell book.
They didn’t drop the key? I searched on grounds etc tapping the trees. I’m at loss??
Help?

    Broono gives you the Temple Key when he gives you the quest to find the spellbook.
