Lol, I spend so much time answering questions, not only here but now at Touch Arcade (that dear swamp!) -- have never had a chance to think of this, but if you have special requests, let me know and I'll try. Can't promise quick response cause am doing a lot of stuff, including HOLV, but can give it a try.

Hi Cat,
I'm not sure if this is possible, but when sending or receiving PM's, is there a way that the recipents of PM's could have a notification sent to them via e-mail? That way,we won't have to post to another member that PM's were sent.
Thanks in advance!

Actually, I tweaked something, so let's see but it seems also that you have to check your user settings and tweak something. : )

Hey Cat
Would it be possible to have like a "How to" section on the forum? I've noticed a lot of forum members come up with some really great work-arounds to some of the normal game limitations; like Moth's idea re: sorting wands, Plus' idea re: screen shots to save NPC dialogue such as quest instructions, etc. Also there is a lot of great stuff through out the forum like how to use potions and enchantable items to get the full benefits of stat/ability enhancement.
Many of these ideas materialize during the course of a thread discussion, and sometimes they get "lost" in the thread. I think it would be really helpful to have a "How to", or "Quest 101" section where these pearls of wisdom could be listed in one area for easy reference, such as:
How to:
sorting wands
using screen shots to save dialogue with NCPs
enhance your alchemy skills
enhance your damage skills
enhance your enchanting skills
etc.
Just a thought. I also know you are incredibly swamped right now and this could add a lot to your plate. I'd be willing to help you out in any way I can; such as adding info found through out the forum into the "How to" section, if that would make it easier for you. I'm sure others would also add stuff they think of or find on the forum too, (see how I just volunteered everyone to help? I think that's called "volentold" lol!)
anyways, just something I thought I'd toss out there

It's a great idea. The forum is just below the Quest forum and you are the moderator. Will try to move a few things in there. Any help is appreciated.

Cat,
I just now took a peek and I do see options to move/delete selected items. I'm surfing via the iPod right now. My son left the lap top @at Grandma's last weekend. We will be back there this weekend, and I'll experiment around on the forum once I have the laptop again. I can always do the 'ol copy and paste and easily add stuff to that section that way . It might even be better in some cases to copy and paste, rather than move and entire thread.
I'll see what I can figure out this weekend, it's definitely some I prefer doing via the PC as opposed to the iPod lol. I'll definitely pm you with questions I might have!

Do you think it would be worthwhile to chat via aim about any topics here? I do have an aim id, which I just placed in my profile. : ) It probably has a message up like "Don't forget to feed the python" right now. : )

Well, I think that would be a fine idea. I can't tell you how many times I've wished for "sametime" ... It would make things a bit easier if one is receiving or giving help on some of the more complicated quests like Treasure Island/ Gula Temple.. Brother Joffery's murder, and a few other quests that some might have trouble with, and might need in depth advice/hints/spoilers, and don't wish to or can't wait for the next posting on here, or whatnot...
Also, one could receive/ give technical advice for PC/ touch device problems. I'm in some dire need of technical assistance ATM, myself.
I have yahoo IM. My message on there is telling me that I just scorched my Buffalo Toe Soup, and now I'm stuck with eating cold moonshine mushies...
Here's some nice warm mice for your python, Cat

I agree with Sphinx, sometimes having a "live chat" regarding a detailed matter is a lot easier than trying to convey the info via posts. I have both AIM and Yahoo

Well we'd have to get together and agree on an im carrier. I could get yahoo im.
My python, Ramboo, is due for a nice, warm mouse this weekend. Last time he was so excited to eat, he grabbed not only the mouse but the plastic bag mouse was in, and I had to disentangle plastic from coils of hungry python so he wouldn't get tummy ache from eating plastic. It was HORRIBLE.
Cats and pythons have love of mice in common.
But it wasn't easy for me to feed a live mouse to a python. I have morals and FEELINGS for living things. Feeding a live mouse to a python is horrible but I love him/her (Ramboo) and he/she has to eat. Hopefully for five years he/she won't be big enough to eat me. Then will have to face MORAL DILEMMA. Find home for python.

Yes, there is that tug of war "circle of life vs feeding live prey" when you have a pet snake. I had a garter snake when I was a teenager, though she liked to eat fish. Somehow dropping a gold fish in her bowl didn't seem to have the same emotional internal struggle as a mouse would have had. It is sometimes a struggle to separate emotionally, but feeding your snake mice is an obvious necessity. I know...it's still hard though.

One thing I find handy is pidgin, a program that can access all of your IM accounts simultaneously. I have Yahoo, ICQ, msn and irc all available (and there are more that I don't use).

Yahoo might be best. Although am used to AOL, don't mind changing. It should be something anyone who wants to chat should have access to and feel comfortable with.

...I have to agree with GlassDeviant; I had at one time, an account with AIM, but it somehow screwed up my AOL account, (I'm not sure how this happened)so I had to create an entirely new AOL account, because for some reason, Apple only recognizes AOL accounts, when setting up with iTunes. The whole affair was rather ugly too make a long boring story short.
I'm now, a bit leery of trying AIM again, because of that weird glitch- but, then, it could have been something stupid that I did, and not necassarily AIM's setup...

I'm sorry I had to delete that post because this is a site that is frequented by subteens and teens and not just adults. I hope you'll understand.
Our youngest members are about 8 years old and I don't think they have any thoughts about adult women except the warmth and comfort of their mommies.
Sorry about that. Please don't make any more posts like that here. Otherwise I'll have to delete them.
