hi there, im having a couple of problems

on the counterfeit quest i talked to berg and in the middle of the conversation my ipod closed out and when i went back to talk to berg again he wont respond and i cant finish the quest

and

on the jeweler thief quest she accused me of being the thief and threw me in jail and the quest is still active, was wondering if there was something i could do about it

About the jeweler---as long as the quest is still active and not failed--even if you don't have the emerald necklace-if you have the other items, you should be able to finish that quest.

For the jeweler--it helps to have high mercantile.

Remind me where Borg is---it may be you would have to have an earlier save file to go further with that quest---you could email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and point out what happened.

my mercantile is at 60, does it need to be higher?

I think you were trying to sell her back the emerald necklace for Hildy? That's one choice you had there--other choice was not to help Hildy but to give jeweler back all the stolen items.

If your Outfit is over 45 and your Mercantile over 50 if you give her back the emerald necklace, trying to satisfy Hildy's request to get gold from her for it, she won't have you arrested.

I was slightly inaccurate/incomplete in saying that you could solve her quest if you had given her back the necklace—you could if you had that high Outfit and Mercantile---if not and she threw you in jail, you can’t satisfy her quest.

The problem with Borg is an unusual one. Generally, you can either have him arrested or set him free. What happened to you sounds like an iphone glitch. Is there any indication in your quest log that you either satisfied that quest or failed it? If you sent him to jail, eventually you’ll find him there, not very happy with you. Try to keep two save files for circumstances like that if you can.

If you're not too far from the beginning and you want a different outcome, i would suggest starting over.

i have 2 finished files from the base game (one saved the world, one conquered it) so i guess i could start over at the beginning of the expansion

Just keep in mind that if you complete some quests, you might fail others as that leaves room to replay. : ) Keep at least 2 save files so you can go back if necessary. There are 4 slots? There's a reason.

I'm currently playing this expansion on iPhone. I have completed almost all the quests in the Eldfell except the "Find the jewelry shop thief".

First I returned the necklace from Hildemar without being put in the jail. But the quest remained Active in my questlist.

After I collected all remained jewelry, I returned back to the shop. But even my Outfit is 73 and Mercantile is 73 (58 base, +5 Eye amulet and +10 Nadia's ring), Elena the Jeweler allways take the Fancy amulet and Unholy blood crown from me and calls the guards. Once this happen, the quest remains Active in the questlist and the dialogue with Elena the Jeweler disappears.

Does it mean that I won't be able to complete the quest? What did I wrong?

I found that if I went from Hildemar straight to Elena, she almost always called the cops. You could try dropping off jewellery with the undertaker first.

Unless Cat knows something that can shed light on the situation Broono, that definitely sounds like a bug/glitch worth bringing to Elendil's attention. (while they're not making game mechanics and story changes any more, he's still actively fixing genuine bugs)

I have the same problem. I completed all of the other quests, but I cannot complete the jewelry theif quest. If I talk to the jeweler about the stolen items, then I am arrested. The dialog option is gone if I return to her after that. I already talked to the undertaker and returned his items.

No, I'm not a Siery. I was playing as a Nogur. I'm just starting through the Fire & Ice expansion with my second character (Derth) and hoping to avoid the problem I had with the jewelry thief quest the first time through. Maybe if I'm lucky I can still complete that quest with both characters.

Can you keep a second save file slot from where you first get the quest? So if you run into a problem, you can go back?

Jeweler's quest starts off with:

I'm missing a beautiful crown, an emerald necklace and a fancy amulet.

. . .

The Governor's daughter was here with her mother. But they have no need to steal. In fact, the mother is my best customer. If you can recover those items somehow I'd be really grateful. There's a reward of 2000 gold for the lot! Some of them were left for repair! My customers are beginning to ask questions. I would be so happy to have them back. Don't forget the reward.

No special conditions to get it.

Once you've got it from her:

If you have all 3 items, you tell her it's Hildemar and she solves the quest, gives you 2000 gold and a special fur.

If you have just the crown and the amulet, you tell her it was Hildemar and she solves the quest and gives you 1500 gold and a special fur.

If you recover the crown and the amulet and you've been arrested, she gives you nothing and calls the guards. She doesn't solve or fail the quest.

If you've been given the quest to return the emerald necklace from Hildemar to the jeweler and your outfit is greater than 45 and your mercantile skill is less than or equal to 50, you fail the quest to return the necklace and she gets you arrested. Which impacts above.

where do i find the emerald necklace, amulet and beautiful crown for jeweler?

i sold some items i found in quests and criss crossing lands so i don't know if i sold them i town... Help????

The thief Hildy probably would give you an emerald necklace to sell for her if your persuade is greater than 45---if you do, you won't get the best reward from the quest to return all those items.

You have to cure Hildy of her thievery sickness to get her to give up all the items. You need a potion from the Healer and persuade greater than 40 for that.

I am standing on platform in circular room and used throwing device to hit wall but can't walk across to get key on shelf for other unopened gate. i have been through this cave inside and out... please someone help

also, i talked to healer to get the exorsist quest and stepped on some nice bubbly springs but came back and can't find those bubble. She has not given me a potion or do i get it out of spring somewhere?:

I can't help you until later cause I don't have the game with me but from memory--to find the spring--there's a crack on a wall nearby. This is just off the top of my head. You might need to hit the crack with Seff's club. Will check tonight.

I have flipped the one switch and i can't cross to where i threw a weapon to break wall... i just can't cross the circular room.

There are two crackable walls and two switches there.

are the two switches in same vacinity? i have been all over and re tried to break all walls... can you just get very specific?

also i still can't get seff to attack me to get his club. i have over 50 of all skills. I am getting very frustrated with this expansion...

Seff will give you the club if your personality is greater than 22.

Ok... i must be a simpleton here but i have been in that cave like 4 hours of play... i am not following what your saying... can you email me privately and be as specific as possible...

my personality is 51... seff will not give me the club... the wife gives me the quest but makes no mention of needing something sturdy... or something like i that as i have combed through every post..

Which switch did you find in the hot cave? The north one or the east one? Sylon set that cave up...I have to try to figure it out to help you...trying.

Where you are there is a switch north of you and east of you. I don't know which one you got to.

ok... so i am officially an idiot... i did forget to do ONE thing to get seff's c;ub... so now i have it...

One more request in regards to the lava cave... do i use seff's club to knock back the walls... or am i suppose to do something else to get to levers? if you could give me a huge nudge to what to do i'd appreciate it... i have banged on every wall and have only one lever flipped.

So, just to be sure, if you accept the quest to return the necklace from Hildemar you can only get the 1500g + fur reward from the jeweler, yes? That's right. The fur can be sold for 50 gold and looks cool in your inventory. What other benefit it has I don't know or don't remember. : )

May I ask where can I sell the special fur?

It would be someone who buys and sells Miscellaneous items--who that is right now I don't remember as I don't have the game with me. Will check as soon as I can. There's a miscellaneous stuffs seller in most of the HOLs if not all. Where it is in the Official Expansion, I'd have to tap on all the doors. : )
